Dr. Zemel is an author, explorer, researcher, and guide. She was born with the unique gift of spiritual channeling through tonguespeak. Her first book, Guided: Journey into the Unknown to Awaken the Soul and Live in Truth, is a chronicle of mystical-psychic phenomena, in which she shares a paradoxical journey full of debate and struggle. In this book, Dr. Zemel reveals an unexpected passage from fragmentation to wholeness, from hiding to being seen, and from fear to love.

“My journey may be unique in some ways, but I am not special. Every one of us can connect with the small, still voice of our soul, and with a magnificent power greater than ourselves. We can each surrender a little more ego and live with a little more love in our lives. And every one of us has the ability to choose a life of courageous authenticity, no matter how unusual we are. If and when we make that step, life continues to unfold with mostly mundane moments that somehow become threaded with awe-inspiring golden sparks of joy and aliveness.”

Siri K. Zemel, PhD is an advocate for the incorporation of mystical experiences alongside traditional physical and mental healthcare. With professional roots grounded in research and ethical integrity, she dreams of a robust multi-disciplinary group composed of scientists, practitioners, mental health leaders, physical healers, and spiritual leaders coming together to establish legitimacy and accountability for an integrated approach to healing. Dr. Zemel served in behavioral healthcare leadership for nearly twenty years before “coming out” as a spiritual channel. She received her doctorate from Saybrook University in mind-body medicine and her master’s degree from the University of Tennessee in nutrition science. She lives with her husband in Tennessee and is currently working on her second book to help others embrace their own unique spirituality.
